GT-92: Fanless AI rack system for continuous operation

Industrial applications require computing power at the edge of the network, where data is generated. Real-time AI systems for image processing, quality control, or autonomous machines need to evaluate large amounts of data directly on site. Bypassing cloud architectures saves time and bandwidth and reduces costs. However, edge applications have special requirements: high performance in limited space, constant availability despite dust and vibrations, and high tolerance to ambient temperatures. The new Neousys GT-92, a 19-inch rack system that combines GPU acceleration, multi-camera connectivity and a fanless chassis design, is tailored precisely to these requirements.

A key feature of the Neousys GT-92 is its wide range of connections. This is a decisive advantage for multi-camera setups in quality control, robotic guidance systems or autonomous vehicles. Eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) supply cameras directly with power, up to a total of 100 W at 24 V input voltage. There is also an additional GbE port, four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (10 Gbps) and optional serial, CAN bus and digital I/O interfaces. This allows up to twelve cameras to be connected simultaneously, eight via Ethernet and four via USB.

Based on Intel's 12th to 14th generation platform (LGA1700 socket), the fanless GT-92GC high-performance computer supports CPUs with 35 W or 65 W TDP. For GPU tasks, it features an Nvidia RTX 2000 ADA, which offers 70 W of power without active cooling. The computer does away with fans entirely, using a sophisticated heat pipe and cooling fin design instead. This allows the system to operate reliably between -25 and +55 °C (when configured with a 35 W CPU).

For its own data storage, the controller relies on current standards: an M.2 socket allows NVMe SSDs with a transfer rate of around 7 GB/s. Two bays for 2.5-inch SATA drives supplement the storage capacity, for example for RAID configurations or local data backup. Two mPCIe slots with internal SIM sockets enable module expansions, for example for mobile communication, WiFi or additional I/O cards. With up to 64 GB DDR5 RAM, the system is also prepared for current requirements in terms of memory.

The outstanding unique selling point of the Neousys GT-92 lies in its combination of GPU acceleration and completely fanless design. This can be a decisive factor, especially in continuous industrial operation: fan failures are among the most common hardware defects in harsh environments. A passively cooled system extends operating life and significantly reduces maintenance costs, which is reflected not least in the total cost of ownership (TCO). The cooling capacity is sufficient to keep the CPU and GPU within specification at maximum load simultaneously.

The Neousys GT-92 proves that high GPU performance and robust industrial design are not mutually exclusive. The system is technically well-designed, built for continuous operation and clearly tailored to multi-camera and AI applications. Anyone who needs AI inference, image analysis or sensor data fusion directly at the point of action will find a reliable platform with reserves for future tasks.

Acceed offers all configurations of the new Neousys GT-92 for customer-specific applications, even in larger quantities and with customised accessories such as power supplies or connection adapters.
